CCSU Veterans History Project received grant from the William and Alice Mortensen Foundation

We are happy to announce that the VHP has received a grant from the William and Alice Mortensen Foundation to be used toward interview equipment such as camcorders and other accessories.

  1. Congratulations on receiving your grant! Myself and another are currently running the VHP through our local Veterans Administration Care Clinic and are struggling to keep it running due to our own lack of financial resources (our efforts are completely voluntarily). We have decided to look into the possibility of grants to help us keep the Project running, and that’s how I landed here. Can you tell me if you know of any such grants? I’m just getting started on this journey so any help on the subject at all would be most helpful! My collegue and I are both so passionate about this work, but also have to make ends meet at home!

    • Elizabeth, it is very tough finding grant funds for our project. I suggest you research local funders or look for donations. We also rely on volunteers to carry on this valuable work. Good luck.
