Don’t miss the 150th-anniversary cannon firing at the State Capitol in Hartford on Tuesday, April 12,
the Connecticut Civil War Conference on Friday, April 15,
and the Commemoration Kick-Off Weekend on April 16 and 17.

Civil War Events: Free And Open to the Public

Tuesday April 12, 2011
8 AM State Capitol Building in Hartford:
Cannon firing, commorating firing on Fort Sumter.

Friday April 15
8:45 AM – 4:30 PM Conference at CCSU
Registration required.

Saturday, April 16
10 AM Commemoration Opening Ceremonies
11 AM Exhibit Hall opens in CCSU Student Center
11 AM 1:30 p.m. – Military/Civilian demonstrations:
CCSU campus and Stanley Quarter Park
12 PM – 2 PM Talks on Civil War topics:
CCSU Student Center
2:30 PM Battle Reenactment in Stanley Quarter Park
4 PM Stanley Quarter closes to the public
5 PM Exhibit Hall closes

Sunday, April 17
9 PM Worship service in Stanley Quarter Park
10 AM – 11:30 AM Vintage Baseball Game:
Stanley Quarter Park
10 AM – 12 PM – Military/Civilian demonstrations:
CCSU campus and at Stanley Quarter Park
1 PM – Battle Reenactment in Stanley Quarter Park
2 PM – 4 PM – Talks on Civil War topics:

2:30 PM – Reenactor Camp closes to the public
